Chioma Obiadi wins Miss Nigeria 2016!
The event held at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko
Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island Lagos on 19th
December 2016 had top celebrities and notable faces
in attendance.

The dark skinned beauty from Anambra State
clinched the crown beating 39 other contestants
(across the thirty-six states of the federation
including FCT) she competed with at the finals.
The contestants were handpicked through the
audition stages held in four different locations across
Nigeria(Abuja, Port Harcourt, Enugu and Lagos).
Chioma Obiadi wins the 40th edition of the beauty
pageant. Congrats are in order for the new queen.

Pamela Peter-Vigboro Leesi » is this year's Miss
Nigeria but she says she has a lot to learn from her
predecessor, Ezinne Akudo. »
The 22-year-old Cross River State native admitted that
even though she didn't know she would become the
2015 Miss Nigeria, reaching the top five gave her
confident she could be the winner.
"I came all the way from top 10 to top 5 so at that top
5 stage, it was clear that I had a chance at being the
miss Nigeria," Leesi told City People magazine in a
new interview.

When asked about her thoughts on the former
beauty queen, Akudo who presented her crown at the
event on November 11 in Lagos, Pamela had this to
say:
"She [Ezinne] is an amazing person. I really admire
her. I like the fact that she is able to stay grounded
even though she's a queen."
She goes on to say, "She is original so I really like
that about her."

The current Queen hopes to use her new status to
help empower her community especially younger
girls just like her predecessor did.
"I do have pet projects but it is not structured yet,"
she told the outlet. "My pet project tend towards
capacity building for young women," she added.
